"Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy."
Psalm 126:5 NIV
That's the amazing thing about people with hope, even when they are mourning they go out to sow seeds. Drought, "not good timing," or any other excuse is overlooked and they forge ahead with what they have in their hands to plant. Despite pain, heartache, and disappointment their whisper is "There is a future for us." Their very tears become the first watering the seeds receive and they plant and wait in expectation. The very next verse of that Psalm says, "He who goes out weeping carrying seeds to sow, WILL return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with him."
The promise for those who will plant even when their heart is breaking is that they will have a harvest that makes them burst into songs of joy.
For those of you mourning today, not a tear is wasted in God's kingdom. Sow your seed, sow your tears, tell God your heart's desires. Give Him everything. Now is not the time to hold back even though it may seem logical. Now is the time to sow and declare, "There is a GOOD future for me!”
